Who they were

At Guadalajara in Spain, Blesseds María Pilar of Saint Francis Borgia (Jacoba) Martínez García, Teresa of the Child Jesus (Eusebia) García García and María Ángeles de San José (Marciana) Valtierra Tordesillas, virgins of the Order of Discalced Carmelites and martyrs, who in time of persecution reached the crown of martyrdom joyfully acclaiming Christ the Bridegroom.

The miracles

As a martyr she was raised to the altars without a miracle.

Why that counted as sanctity

The Roman Martyrology remembers her on 24 July among three Discalced Carmelites of Guadalajara martyred acclaiming Christ the Bridegroom.

The cause

The cause continues. No postulation address is published here yet. Favours received through this person’s intercession, and offers of help, are best sent to the religious order or congregation they belonged to, or to the diocese where the cause was opened; either will pass them to the postulation.

A miracle approved by the Holy See is needed for the next step. If you know the postulation’s own page, tell us and it will be added here.
