Who they were

A Discalced Carmelite of Guadalajara in Spain, in religion Mariangela di San Giuseppe and in the world Marciana Voltierra Tordesillas. With Maria del Pilar of St Francis Borgia (Jacoba) Martínez García and Teresa of the Child Jesus (Eusebia) García García she reached the crown of martyrdom in time of persecution, acclaiming Christ her Bridegroom with joy.

The miracles

As a martyr she was raised to the altars without a miracle.

Why that counted as sanctity

The Roman Martyrology names her among the Carmelite martyrs of Guadalajara.

The cause

The cause continues. No postulation address is published here yet. Favours received through this person’s intercession, and offers of help, are best sent to the religious order or congregation they belonged to, or to the diocese where the cause was opened; either will pass them to the postulation.

A miracle approved by the Holy See is needed for the next step. If you know the postulation’s own page, tell us and it will be added here.
