Who they were
Marchell, or Marcella (6th cent.), sister of Tyfrydog, son of Arwystli Gloff, Patroness of Ystrad Marchell (afterwards the Cistercian Abbey of Strata Marcella), Montgomery, and of a chapel in Llanrwst, Denbigh.
The miracles
There was never a formal cause: she has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
Why that counted as sanctity
Stanton's Menology of England and Wales (1887) lists her among the Welsh saints to whom churches are dedicated.
