Who they were

Manuel Heredia Gascón was a priest, born at Porcuna on 13 May 1901 and ordained on 29 May 1926, who was assistant parish priest of Santa María at Alcaudete and was killed at Venta de Pantalones, near Martos, on 4 October 1936. He was beatified on 13 December 2025 by Pope Leo XIV among the 124 martyrs of Jaén.
