Who they were

At Caleruega in Castile in Spain, commemoration of Blessed Manés de Guzmán, priest, who was the brother of Saint Dominic, his collaborator in spreading the Order of Preachers and a wise counsellor of the nuns.

The miracles

The Roman Martyrology does not describe the miracles approved in the cause.

Why that counted as sanctity

The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 30 July as the brother of Saint Dominic and his collaborator in spreading the Order of Preachers.

The cause

Manés de Guzmán has been beatified; the cause continues. Favours received, and offers of help, go to the postulation, the office that carries the cause forward: Dominicans: Blessed Manes de Guzman.

A miracle approved by the Holy See is needed for the next step. Reporting one begins with the postulation.
