Who they were

The commemoration of Saint Mamlica, virgin and martyr, who, having come into Persia from the land of the Garamaeans, was put to death by order of King Shapur II.

The miracles

There was never a formal cause: she has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.

Why that counted as sanctity

The Roman Martyrology remembers her on 5 October as a virgin and martyr put to death in Persia by order of King Shapur II.
