Who they were

The decree on martyrdom describes him as a priest of the Order of Preachers, born in 1892, who preached the gospel in Central America and was prior of the religious community at Atocha when he died, and records that he was killed on 20 July 1936. He was beatified on 28 October 2007 by Pope Benedict XVI.

The miracles

As a martyr he was raised to the altars without a miracle.

Why that counted as sanctity

Named in the decree on martyrdom among the companions of Buenaventura García Paredes and Miguel Léibar Garay killed in Spain in 1936.

The cause

The cause continues. No postulation address is published here yet. Favours received through this person’s intercession, and offers of help, are best sent to the religious order or congregation they belonged to, or to the diocese where the cause was opened; either will pass them to the postulation.

A miracle approved by the Holy See is needed for the next step. If you know the postulation’s own page, tell us and it will be added here.
