Who they were
A Brother of the Institute of the Brothers of the Christian Schools, in the world Germanus García García, born on 18 May 1903 at Quintanilla de la Mata in the diocese of Burgos. He joined the Brothers in 1916, made his first vows in 1921 and his solemn profession in 1928, taught in several colleges and was sent in 1934 to the St Joseph college at Lorca, keeping the Rule and his duties with great care.
He was beatified on 28 October 2007 by Benedict XVI.

As a martyr he was raised to the altars without a miracle.
Why that counted as sanctity
The decree on martyrdom names him among the Brothers of the Christian Schools of Lorca killed in 1936.
