Who they were

Georgine Noiret, in religion Lucia, founded the Congregation of the Handmaids of the Sacred Heart of Jesus under the protection of St Joseph; she was born at Chambéry, France, on 27 January 1832 and died at Imola, Italy, on 17 March 1899. Pope Francis recognised her heroic virtue on 9 April 2022.

The miracles

The Church has not yet approved a miracle in this cause.

Why that counted as sanctity

The Church recognised her heroic virtue in 2022.

The cause

The cause continues. No postulation address is published here yet. Favours received through this person’s intercession, and offers of help, are best sent to the religious order or congregation they belonged to, or to the diocese where the cause was opened; either will pass them to the postulation.

A miracle approved by the Holy See is needed for the next step. If you know the postulation’s own page, tell us and it will be added here.
