Who they were
The commemoration of the holy martyrs Vindemialis, bishop of Gafsa in Numidia, in present-day Tunisia, and Longinus of Pomaria in Mauretania, now in Algeria, who, for having opposed the Arians at the Council of Carthage, were condemned to beheading by the Vandal king Huneric.
The miracles
There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
Why that counted as sanctity
The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 2 May as a martyr beheaded by the Vandal king Huneric for opposing the Arians at the Council of Carthage.
