Who they were

Near Mainz in the Rhineland, in Germany, Saint Leoba, virgin: called from England to Germany by Saint Boniface, her kinsman, she was placed at the head of the monastery of Tauberbischofsheim, where she guided the handmaids of God on the way of perfection by word and example.

The miracles

There was never a formal cause: she has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.

Why that counted as sanctity

The Roman Martyrology remembers her on 28 September as the virgin whom Saint Boniface called from England to lead the monastery of Tauberbischofsheim.
