Landelin
French saint
Feast: 15 June (not on the universal Roman calendar; kept in the Roman Martyrology or local calendars)
Who they were
At Crespin in Hainaut, in the territory of present-day France, Saint Landelin, abbot, who, converted by the bishop Saint Aubert from a life of robbery to the practice of virtue, founded a monastery at Lobbes and then moved to Crespin, where he ended his days.
The miracles
There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
Why that counted as sanctity
The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 15 June as a former robber converted by Saint Aubert who founded the monastery of Lobbes.
