Who they were

Julián Aguilar Martín was one of the two lay faithful joined to the cause of the Marist Brothers; born at Berge near Teruel on 24 November 1912, he died a martyr at Madrid on 29 July 1936 and was beatified on 13 October 2013 by Pope Francis.

The miracles

As a martyr he was raised to the altars without a miracle.

Why that counted as sanctity

A layman who died with the Marist Brothers' cause, killed at Madrid in 1936.

The cause

The cause continues. No postulation address is published here yet. Favours received through this person’s intercession, and offers of help, are best sent to the religious order or congregation they belonged to, or to the diocese where the cause was opened; either will pass them to the postulation.

A miracle approved by the Holy See is needed for the next step. If you know the postulation’s own page, tell us and it will be added here.
