Who they were

In Morocco, Blessed Juan de Prado, priest of the Order of Friars Minor and martyr, who was sent to Africa to give spiritual assistance to Christians held in slavery in the kingdoms of the unbelievers; arrested, he bore courageous witness to his faith in Christ before the tyrant Mulay al-Walid, on whose order he suffered martyrdom by fire.

The miracles

As a martyr he was raised to the altars without a miracle.

Why that counted as sanctity

The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 24 May as a Franciscan priest who served enslaved Christians in Morocco and was burned for his faith.

The cause

Juan de Prado has been beatified; the cause continues. Favours received, and offers of help, go to the postulation, the office that carries the cause forward: Franciscans: Blessed Juan de Prado.

A miracle approved by the Holy See is needed for the next step. Reporting one begins with the postulation.
