Who they were

Juan Busquet Lluciá, born at Santa Margarida de Montbui, near Barcelona, on 13 January 1868, made his religious profession in the Congregation of the Missionary Sons of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (the Claretians) on 25 March 1884 and was ordained a priest on 15 August 1891.

He was killed at Lérida on 25 August 1936, and Pope Francis beatified him with his companions on 21 October 2017.

The miracles

As a martyr he was raised to the altars without a miracle.

Why that counted as sanctity

The decree on martyrdom records that he was killed at Lérida on 25 August 1936.

The cause

The cause continues. No postulation address is published here yet. Favours received through this person’s intercession, and offers of help, are best sent to the religious order or congregation they belonged to, or to the diocese where the cause was opened; either will pass them to the postulation.

A miracle approved by the Holy See is needed for the next step. If you know the postulation’s own page, tell us and it will be added here.
