Juan Aguilar Donis
Dominican priest, martyr of the persecution in Spain
Who they were
Juan Aguilar Donis was born at Amusco de Campos on 1 June 1886, made solemn profession in 1906 and was ordained priest. He taught humanities at the friary of AlmerÃa and was a respected spiritual director; he was killed in the night between 2 and 3 September 1936, and Pope Francis beatified him on 18 June 2022.
