Who they were

In the town of Motril near Granada on the Spanish coast, Blessed martyrs Deogratias Palacios, León Inchausti, Jose Rada, Julián Moreno, priests, and José Ricardo Díez, religious, who, actively engaged for Christ in the Order of Augustinian Recollects, during the same persecution were suddenly seized by the mob and immediately shot in the street.

The miracles

As a martyr he was raised to the altars without a miracle.

Why that counted as sanctity

The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 25 July as one of the Augustinian Recollects seized by the mob and shot in the street at Motril.

The cause

The cause continues. No postulation address is published here yet. Favours received through this person’s intercession, and offers of help, are best sent to the religious order or congregation they belonged to, or to the diocese where the cause was opened; either will pass them to the postulation.

A miracle approved by the Holy See is needed for the next step. If you know the postulation’s own page, tell us and it will be added here.
