Who they were

The decree on martyrdom records that he was born in 1862, made his perpetual profession in 1892 and was killed on 4 August 1936. He was beatified on 11 March 2001 by Pope John Paul II.

The miracles

As a martyr he was raised to the altars without a miracle.

Why that counted as sanctity

The decree names him among the Salesian companions of Jose Calasanz Marques killed in the persecution.

The cause

The cause continues. No postulation address is published here yet. Favours received through this person’s intercession, and offers of help, are best sent to the religious order or congregation they belonged to, or to the diocese where the cause was opened; either will pass them to the postulation.

A miracle approved by the Holy See is needed for the next step. If you know the postulation’s own page, tell us and it will be added here.
