Who they were

José González Roa was a priest, born at Jimena on 13 July 1863 and ordained on 26 May 1888, who was assistant parish priest of Santiago el Mayor at Jimena and was killed on 17 September 1936. He was beatified on 13 December 2025 by Pope Leo XIV among the 124 martyrs of Jaén.
