Who they were

Born at Cartagena on 27 May 1880, he was a missionary in China and in July 1936 was chaplain of the hospital and home of the Daughters of Charity at Totana, near Murcia; he died in the prison of Totana on 31 January 1937. Pope Francis beatified him with Vicente Queralt Lloret and his twenty companions on 11 November 2017.

The miracles

As a martyr he was raised to the altars without a miracle.

Why that counted as sanctity

The decree on martyrdom records that he died in the prison of Totana.

The cause

The cause continues. No postulation address is published here yet. Favours received through this person’s intercession, and offers of help, are best sent to the religious order or congregation they belonged to, or to the diocese where the cause was opened; either will pass them to the postulation.

A miracle approved by the Holy See is needed for the next step. If you know the postulation’s own page, tell us and it will be added here.
