Who they were

The Roman Martyrology for 11 May places him at York with John Rochester, priests and monks of the Charterhouse of London who, under King Henry VIII, were hung in chains from the battlements of the city walls until they died, for their fidelity to the Church.

The miracles

As a martyr he was raised to the altars without a miracle.

Why that counted as sanctity

Died in chains on the walls of York for his fidelity to the Church.

The cause

The cause continues. No postulation address is published here yet. Favours received through this person’s intercession, and offers of help, are best sent to the religious order or congregation they belonged to, or to the diocese where the cause was opened; either will pass them to the postulation.

A miracle approved by the Holy See is needed for the next step. If you know the postulation’s own page, tell us and it will be added here.
