Who they were

In the territory of Laval in France, Blessed Giacomo Burin, priest and martyr, worked hard during the French Revolution at the clandestine exercise of the pastoral ministry and, fleeing from house to house before the band of his persecutors, was finally shot with the chalice in his hands.

The miracles

As a martyr he was raised to the altars without a miracle.

Why that counted as sanctity

He was shot with the chalice in his hands while exercising the priestly ministry in hiding.

The cause

The cause continues. No postulation address is published here yet. Favours received through this person’s intercession, and offers of help, are best sent to the religious order or congregation they belonged to, or to the diocese where the cause was opened; either will pass them to the postulation.

A miracle approved by the Holy See is needed for the next step. If you know the postulation’s own page, tell us and it will be added here.
