Who they were
At Rochester in England, Saint Ithamar, bishop, who, the first of the people of Canterbury to be called to the order of bishops, shone for learning and simplicity of life.
The miracles
There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
Why that counted as sanctity
The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 10 June as a bishop of Rochester, the first of the people of Canterbury raised to the episcopate.
