Who they were

At Córdoba in Andalusia in Spain, Saint Isaac, martyr, who, a monk, during the rule of the Moors, driven not by a human impulse but by divine inspiration, came down from the monastery of Tábanos and presented himself in the forum before the judge to dispute with him about the true religion, and was for this condemned to death.

The miracles

There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.

Why that counted as sanctity

The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 3 June as a monk of Tábanos who disputed with the judge at Córdoba about the true religion and was condemned to death for it.
