Who they were

Born at Castrillo de Don Juan, in the province of Palencia, on 11 April 1896, he made his religious profession on 15 August 1915 and was ordained priest on 26 May 1923. He was killed on 14 October 1936, and Pope Francis beatified him among the Claretian martyrs of Spain on 21 October 2017.

The miracles

As a martyr he was raised to the altars without a miracle.

Why that counted as sanctity

The decree on martyrdom records that he was killed on 14 October 1936.

The cause

The cause continues. No postulation address is published here yet. Favours received through this person’s intercession, and offers of help, are best sent to the religious order or congregation they belonged to, or to the diocese where the cause was opened; either will pass them to the postulation.

A miracle approved by the Holy See is needed for the next step. If you know the postulation’s own page, tell us and it will be added here.
