Hilarion d'Espalion
saint
Feast: 15 June (not on the universal Roman calendar; kept in the Roman Martyrology or local calendars)
Who they were
Saint Hilarian of Espalion was born around 760 at Lévinhac, a hamlet belonging to the commune of Saint-Côme-d'Olt on the right bank of the Lot, near Espalion in today's French department of Aveyron. He died as a Christian martyr on 15 June 793 and was buried in what later became the priory church of St-Hilarian de Perse. His feast day is therefore 15 June.
