Who they were
In the monastery of Moyenmoutier in the Vosges mountains, in France, Saint Hidulf, who, bishop of Trier, withdrew to a solitary life, but, when numerous disciples came, founded a monastery and governed it.
The miracles
There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
Why that counted as sanctity
The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 11 July as a bishop of Trier who withdrew to solitude and founded and governed the monastery of Moyenmoutier.
