Henry
bishop of Finland
Feast: 19 January (not on the universal Roman calendar; kept in the Roman Martyrology or local calendars)
Who they were
In Finland, Saint Henry, bishop and martyr, who, born in England, was given the charge of ruling the Church of Uppsala, working with great zeal for the evangelisation of the Finns; he was, in the end, cruelly slain by a murderer whom he had sought to correct according to Church discipline.
The miracles
There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
Why that counted as sanctity
The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 20 January as a bishop who evangelised the Finns and was slain by a man he had sought to correct.
