Who they were

In the monastery of Igny in France, Blessed Guerric, abbot, who, a true disciple of Saint Bernard, being unable because of the frailty of his body to be an example to his brethren in work, comforted them with spiritual sermons steeped in humility and charity.

The miracles

The Roman Martyrology does not describe the miracles approved in the cause.

Why that counted as sanctity

The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 19 August as an abbot of Igny and disciple of Saint Bernard.

The cause

The cause continues. No postulation address is published here yet. Favours received through this person’s intercession, and offers of help, are best sent to the religious order or congregation they belonged to, or to the diocese where the cause was opened; either will pass them to the postulation.

A miracle approved by the Holy See is needed for the next step. If you know the postulation’s own page, tell us and it will be added here.
