Who they were

In the monastery of Grande-Sauve in the region of Aquitaine, now in France, Saint Gerald, abbot, who, raised in the monastery of Corbie, was then elected abbot of Laon and after holy pilgrimages withdrew into the depths of the forest of this land.

The miracles

There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.

Why that counted as sanctity

The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 5 April as an abbot, raised at Corbie and abbot of Laon, who after pilgrimages withdrew into the forest of Grande-Sauve.
