Claretian in temporary vows, martyr of the persecution in Spain
Who they were
Genaro Piñol Ricart was born on 8 September 1914 at Torms in the province of Lérida and made his temporary profession as a Claretian on 15 August 1931.
He was killed on 27 August 1936 at La Foresta, and Pope Francis beatified him on 21 October 2017 among the 109 Spanish Claretian martyrs.
