Why that counted as sanctity

The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 4 August as a Franciscan priest at Montreal who spread pilgrimages to the Holy Land.

The cause

Frédéric Janssoone has been beatified; the cause continues. Favours received, and offers of help, go to the postulation, the office that carries the cause forward: The cause of Blessed Frederic Janssoone.

A miracle approved by the Holy See is needed for the next step. Reporting one begins with the postulation.
