Who they were

Francisco de Paula Padilla Gutiérrez was a diocesan priest, born at Marmolejo on 28 December 1892 and in charge of the parish of San Martín in Arjona, who was killed on 3 April 1937 at the age of 45. He was beatified on 13 December 2025 by Pope Leo XIV among the 124 martyrs of Jaén.
