Who they were

At Lleida, again in Spain, Blessed Francisco de Paula Castelló y Aleu, martyr, who, condemned in that same persecution against the faith, did not hesitate to face death for Christ with a serene spirit and the utmost firmness.

The miracles

As a martyr he was raised to the altars without a miracle.

Why that counted as sanctity

The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 29 September as a martyr at Lleida who faced death for Christ with serenity and firmness.

The cause

Francisco Castelló has been beatified; the cause continues. Favours received, and offers of help, go to the postulation, the office that carries the cause forward: Catholic Action saints foundation: Blessed Francisco Castelló.

A miracle approved by the Holy See is needed for the next step. Reporting one begins with the postulation.
