Who they were

At Montegranaro in the Marche, Blessed Francis Zanfredini, called Cecco of Pesaro, of the Third Order of Saint Francis, who, having distributed all his goods to the poor, was for about fifty years a model of penance, prayer and good works in the hermitage he had built.

The miracles

The Roman Martyrology does not describe the miracles approved in the cause.

Why that counted as sanctity

The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 5 August as a Franciscan tertiary who gave all his goods to the poor and spent about fifty years of penance, prayer and good works in a hermitage he built.

The cause

The cause continues. No postulation address is published here yet. Favours received through this person’s intercession, and offers of help, are best sent to the religious order or congregation they belonged to, or to the diocese where the cause was opened; either will pass them to the postulation.

A miracle approved by the Holy See is needed for the next step. If you know the postulation’s own page, tell us and it will be added here.
