Who they were

At Dublin in Ireland, the death of Blessed Francis Taylor, martyr, a father of a family who, after suffering seven years in prison for his Catholic faith, worn out by hardship and old age, crowned his martyrdom under the reign of James I.

The miracles

As a martyr he was raised to the altars without a miracle.

Why that counted as sanctity

The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 30 January as a father of a family who died a martyr in Dublin after seven years in prison for his Catholic faith.

The cause

The cause continues. No postulation address is published here yet. Favours received through this person’s intercession, and offers of help, are best sent to the religious order or congregation they belonged to, or to the diocese where the cause was opened; either will pass them to the postulation.

A miracle approved by the Holy See is needed for the next step. If you know the postulation’s own page, tell us and it will be added here.
