Who they were

Saint Fausta is a martyr venerated at Bourges, named in the martyrologies of Usuard and Du Saussay as having been martyred at Fézensac; the basilica built in her honour was later destroyed by the Danes. Her relics were translated twice: in 864 from Gascony to Arnac in the Limousin, a dependency of the abbey of Solignac, and again in 1247 to the abbey of Préec in the diocese of Bourges.

A church is dedicated to her in the diocese of Auch. Her feast is kept on 4 January, and in the Limousin the translation of her relics is celebrated on 14 June.

The miracles

There was never a formal cause: she has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.

Why that counted as sanctity

Martyr venerated at Bourges, martyred at Fézensac; her relics were twice translated, first to the Limousin in 864 and then to the abbey of Préec in the diocese of Bourges in 1247.
