At Córdoba in Andalusia in Spain, Saint Fandila, priest and monk, who, during the persecution of the Moors under the reign of Muhammad I, was beheaded for his faith in Christ.
The miracles
There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
Why that counted as sanctity
The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 13 June as a priest and monk of Córdoba beheaded for his faith under Muhammad I.
