Who they were

Humbertus van Lieshout was born and baptised at Aarle-Rixtel in the Netherlands on 3 November 1890, the eighth of eleven children of a deeply Catholic farming family.

A priest of the Congregation of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary, as Father Eustáquio he was a father of the poor, a nurse to the sick, a shepherd of souls and a model parish priest.

The miracles

The Dicastery's biography does not describe the miracles approved in the cause.

Why that counted as sanctity

A missionary priest remembered as father of the poor and nurse of the sick.

The cause

Eustáquio van Lieshout has been beatified; the cause continues. Favours received, and offers of help, go to the postulation, the office that carries the cause forward: Vice-postulation for the cause of Blessed Eustaquio van Lieshout.

A miracle approved by the Holy See is needed for the next step. Reporting one begins with the postulation.
