Who they were
At Viktorsberg near Rankweil in southern Bavaria, now in Austria, Saint Eusebius, who, born in Ireland, was a pilgrim for Christ and, having then become a monk in the monastery of Saint Gall, finally lived as a hermit.
The miracles
There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
Why that counted as sanctity
The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 31 January as an Irish-born pilgrim, monk of Saint Gall and hermit at Viktorsberg.
