Who they were
A Brother of the Institute of the Brothers of the Christian Schools, in the world Augustus Corsero Fernández, born on 7 October 1908 at Bustillo de la Vega in the diocese of León. He entered the Brothers in 1925, made his temporary profession in 1927 and his solemn profession in 1933, and taught first at Madrid and then at Lorca, outstanding for his gentleness.
He was beatified on 28 October 2007 by Benedict XVI.

As a martyr he was raised to the altars without a miracle.
Why that counted as sanctity
The decree on martyrdom names him among the Brothers of the Christian Schools of Lorca killed in 1936.
