Who they were
Elena Kalb, in religion Emanuela Maria Maddalena, was a professed sister of the Congregation of the Canonesses of the Holy Spirit in Sassia; she was born at Jarosław (today Poland) on 26 August 1899 and died in Kraków on 18 January 1986. Pope Francis recognised her heroic virtue on 14 December 2015.
