Who they were
St. Eloquius, abbot of Lagny, was one of the associates of St. Furseus, founder of that monastery, and succeeded him in its government. He emulated the virtues of his predecessor and died with the reputation of sanctity in 675. At the request of Count Eilbert, his remains were translated to the abbey of Vasour.
The miracles
There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
Why that counted as sanctity
A Benedictine Martyrology (1922) remembers him on 3 December.
