Who they were

At Coriano in Romagna, Blessed Elisabetta Renzi, virgin, who, foundress of the Maestre Pie of the Sorrowful Virgin, strove with all her strength so that poor girls might receive a human and catechetical formation in schools.

The miracles

The Roman Martyrology does not describe the miracles approved in the cause.

Why that counted as sanctity

The Roman Martyrology remembers her on 14 August as the foundress of the Maestre Pie of the Sorrowful Virgin who worked for the schooling of poor girls.

The cause

The cause continues. No postulation address is published here yet. Favours received through this person’s intercession, and offers of help, are best sent to the religious order or congregation they belonged to, or to the diocese where the cause was opened; either will pass them to the postulation.

A miracle approved by the Holy See is needed for the next step. If you know the postulation’s own page, tell us and it will be added here.
