Who they were
Born at Gusendos de los Oteros in the province of León in February 1909, he was sent to Las Caldas de Besaya to work as the cook. He was beatified on 28 October 2007 by Benedict XVI with Enrique Izquierdo Palacios and 13 companions of the Order of Preachers.

As a martyr he was raised to the altars without a miracle.
Why that counted as sanctity
The decree on martyrdom names him among the Dominicans killed in the 1936 persecution in Spain.
