Doroteo Hernández Vera was a diocesan priest and founder of the secular institute Cruzada Evangélica; he was born at Matute de Almazán, Spain, on 28 March 1901 and died in Madrid on 6 November 1991. Pope Francis recognised his heroic virtue on 21 December 2018.
