At Almería, also in Spain, the passion of Blessed martyrs Diego Ventaja Milán, bishop of Almería, and Manuel Medina Olmos, bishop of Cádiz, who, taken to prison out of hatred of the Christian name, patiently endured insults and abuse, until they were slaughtered by night.

As a martyr he was raised to the altars without a miracle.

The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 30 August as the bishop of Almería imprisoned and killed by night out of hatred of the Christian name.
