Daniele de Ungrispach
Who they were
Bl. Daniel, a Camaldolese monk of St. Michael de Murano at Venice, was at one time a merchant in Hungary, but left all things behind him to follow Christ in poverty. Thieves suspecting him to have concealed money in his hermitage, entered in the night and slew him in the year 1411. The body was interred in the chapterhouse and was found well preserved when it was raised many years later.
