Who they were

Saint Conogan (also called Gwen, or in Latin Albinus) was a fifth-century bishop of Quimper in Brittany, traditionally held to have succeeded Saint Corentin, who died in 453. The entry is candid that almost nothing certain is known of the early bishops of Quimper: tradition credits him with a twenty-seven-year rule, ending with his death, variously dated around 480.

He is still venerated with great devotion at Quimper, where his feast is kept on 16 October.

The miracles

There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.

Why that counted as sanctity

Fifth-century bishop of Quimper in Brittany; feast 16 October.
