Who they were
Concordius was a subdeacon arrested in the desert in the reign of Marcus Aurelius and brought before Torquatus, governor of Umbria, at Spoleto. He was beaten and racked but sang praise to Christ under torture.
Three days later soldiers came to behead him in his cell unless he would sacrifice; when he spat on the idol, he was beheaded, about 178.
The miracles
There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
Why that counted as sanctity
A second-century martyr of Spoleto.
